Our Feedstock

We are tapping into a new resource: textile waste.

Your beloved running jacket, your worn-out tights, the shirt that never convinced. They might have lost their fashion value. But they still have a lot of value for the textile industry.

We are converting textile waste into valuable feedstock for loopamid®.

Polyamide textiles, commonly known as nylon, are the base for various textiles, including functional apparel, outdoor and sports gear.

For our textile-to-textile recycling process, we source the feedstock from discarded or used nylon textiles coming from two major sources.

Post-Consumer Waste

End-of-life textiles might have lost their fashion value, but they are still a valuable resource for the textile industry. Old clothing, worn-out nylon garments, nylon accessories and other textile products no longer in use or need: this waste is difficult to recycle because it contains various materials and dyes. Our loopamid® recycling process can handle it – it was specially designed to recycle textiles despite its contaminants.

Industrial polyamide waste: cut-offs, leftovers, miscuts

Post-Industrial Waste

Cut-offs, leftovers, miscuts – there’s plenty of waste generated during the manufacturing of polyamide textiles. We preserve the value of production scraps, rejected pieces, excess material from cutting processes and other waste materials. Post-industrial waste is difficult to recycle because it contains various materials and dyes. Thanks to our contaminant-safe recycling process for loopamid®, we are able to bring it back into the system.
